Addition to WB/02 clause 7 and HB/05 policy 5.2 · Consumer Protection Act, 2019 · Indian Contract Act, 1872
A package may be frozen if the Chief Executive Officer agrees, for the period the Chief Executive Officer sets, up to 60 days (two months) for each freeze. A freeze is never a refund.
1 What This Addition Does
This addition, dated 2 October 2026, forms part of the Pricing, Payments, Cancellation and Refund Policy (WB/02) and of HB/05 policy 5.2. WB/02 clause 7 and the medical-grounds row of its refund table refer to it: a package may be frozen as set out below. Where this addition and WB/02 differ on freezing, this addition applies. Nothing else in WB/02 changes.
2 When a Package May Be Frozen
- A freeze is not a right. We freeze a package only if our Chief Executive Officer (the “Executive”) considers your request acceptable.
- Ask in writing, at the studio or by e-mail, before the package expires, and say why you want the freeze and from when.
- The Executive decides each request on its merits and tells you the decision in writing. A refusal does not affect any other right you have under WB/02.
3 How Long a Freeze Lasts
- The Executive decides the length of each freeze.
- No freeze lasts longer than 60 days (two months). A further freeze on the same package is a new request, decided in the same way.
- The written decision gives the first and last day of the freeze.
4 What a Freeze Does
- The package is paused for the freeze. The classes left on it are kept, and none can be booked or attended on it until the freeze ends.
- The expiry date moves later by the number of days frozen, and the written decision states the new date.
- The price does not change and nothing is refunded. A freeze is not a refund, and it does not change the refund position under WB/02.
5 Records
We record each freeze against the package: the date of your request, the decision, the first and last day of the freeze and the new expiry date. The record is kept with your enrolment record under HB/05 policy 5.1.
6 Which Version Applies
Under WB/02 a package is governed by the version in force on the date it was bought. This addition is the exception for freezing: it applies to every package that has not expired on the day this addition takes effect, and to every package bought after that day, whichever version of WB/02 applied when it was bought.
